AQA A-level CHEMISTRY Paper 1 Inorganic and Physical Chemistry
Tuesday 13 June 2017
A 9-mark, 2-part question...
Only round at the end of the calculation
moles of ethanoic acid = concentration x volume = 0.260 x 0.5 = 0.130
moles of ethanoate = concentration x volume = 0.121 x 0.5 = 0.0605
moles of ethanoic acid after the addition of hydroxide = 0.130 – 0.007 = 0.123
moles of ethanoate after addition of hydroxide = 0.0605 + 0.007 = 0.0675
pH is ALWAYS quoted to 2 decimal places.
